"What ya got- give it away"...
I had a fitness instructor say this to me yesterday...he's one of the most celebrated trailblazers in the industry, he wanted us to dig deep and rise up before class ended. And I thought about it the rest of the morning. Effort, excitement, enthusiasm etc...don’t keep those things in, instead ...what ya got- give it away.
GIVE YOUR INFLUENCE & YOUR VOICE.
SHARE YOUR ABILITIES, QUIRKS & YOUR SKILLS.
GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS, GUIDANCE AND INSIGHT.
SHARE SOME OF YOUR TIME.
GIVE ENCOURAGEMENT & LIGHTHEN THE LOAD WHEN YOU CAN.
We can't just keep this stuff to ourselves. Life is meant to be a team kind of thingy.
Its what we've got and how we share it amongst the participants in our lives that shape our days.
I heard this message as a fitness fan, a mom, a friend, wife, daughter, business owner, Parkite & just a student of life. We're really nothing without the influence of those around us.
We are constantly shaped by those that cross our paths and what they give away and we all have the ability & opportunity to make a mark on others and their journey. Those thoughts, ideas & talents that are a part of us... are most certainly waiting on other’s ears & eyes to receive 'em.
Don't keep it in. Instead, what ya got- give it away.
It's Sundance time in Park City & I always kind of love it. So much storytelling and experience swapping-it wouldn’t really be much of a festival if people weren’t out there giving away what they’ve got.
This year Barry's Boot Camp popped up to showcase their brand and workout for the week here in town. We are super fans of their story and their people. They are friends of ours and industry mentors and influence every aspect of the industry we work so hard to thrive in. #madrespect.
They have spent 21 years expanding their craft globally and we all are dropping in to sweat with them this week. I was so proud of our crew that I was with at class yesterday- the mix of visionaries, teammates, playmakers, pioneer clients, and newbies of The Beau Collective . As you can imagine, we were clapping, sprinting fast and rooting for everyone in the room. Not only was it fun for us- it elevated the entire class and we know that Barry's could sense something special.
While we may not have an impact on a global scale, (very few of us do) ...what we do have here as a tiny local powerhouse is... community, connection & hospitality and we love giving that stuff away everyday.
