LOVE & LUCK

POSTED BY WHIT

Welcome the the 18th Session! We're back and we love how Spring collects people as the ski season ends and we start to see a different life come back into the Barn after the winter. Some highlights of this season include St. Patrick's Day, Cinco De Mayo, a Mexico retreat, Mother's Day, school begins to end and it then it leads right into summer. I've said it a hundred times, but one of the things that I love best about what we do is that we capture people for a season at a time and sweatebrate that- winter, spring, summer or fall- its all built around the season we are all in together.

For the first time ever this year I noticed a unique time frame between Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. Its 33 days in-between, essentially bridging together LOVE & LUCK... two of my favorite things to witness and to feel. I have a very lucky life and I am loved and love majorly everyday. The only reason I am in Park City is because I sat on a lucky barstool 20 years ago and the only way I know how to work is to love all of the work ethic, heart and hustle it takes.

ANNNNNND its of one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs.

"With a little love and luck we will get by
With a little love and luck we'll take the sky
In this megalo-modern world you've got to try
Try a little love and luck and you will get by"

ANNNNNND two of my favorite mantras even pull from both:

"If you love life it will love you back"

"The hard work puts you where the good luck can find you"

HOW have I not noticed this synchronicity of love and luck before??

It's what has gotten us to this point, truly.

We have SEAU many moments over the years where our differentiator has been how much love we have poured into the work we do and how lucky it has turned out for us.

Many of you know we are working nonstop on our future location. We run our daily operations of the Barn and then we tend to all county applications, architect and builder needs and bank and financial timelines. We have help and guidance, but we are learning, understanding and strategizing in ways that 2 blonde moms rarely do and we are loving it! We have been lucky day after day as certain people and opportunities have proved to be clutch in our tight timeline and we are aware that things are bound to be bumpy and challenging as we continue, but we are up for it! We kicked off a capital raise on Valentine's Day and it has been one of the most incredible things we have done in a long time. We have sat in meetings with teammates and what we have loved best is what they share about their experiences with investment and business in general. We have taken notes and quotes from each of them. Some of our favorites from these great people have been:

"you've gotta be ready to work your ASS off...everyday. everyday."

"I knew that I was maybe not the smartest, but no one would ever out work me"

"development is not for sissies"

"I sleep well at night because I know I work honestly and with people that do the same"

"investment happens in your reputation"

"this stuff is hard and you are going to enjoy most of it"

"I'm investing in you because of everything you've done for years before you asked"

"you'll have a plan and you really hope its going to go that way, but its not going to... and you've got to be ready for it always"

"There's a time to bet on yourself... and you do it"

"I can't do a burpee, but I can do a cash flow analysis"

"The harder you work the luckier you get"

So while I know my mantras, the coolest thing as we spring into action is learning what other people's words to live by are. What are yours? If asked today- what would you say is a quote you live by, or advice you love to give (or a song lyric that is gold to you)? Maybe this week is the week you pick one officially, or apply yours even more.

The 21 day challenge starts on Monday. St. Patrick's Day is a week away.

I'll be there for it all, ready with lots of love, luck and support.

Welcome to Spring everyone!

FITNESS. LIFE. HAPPY HOUR.
